Toby Farmer created an Indiegogo campaign for his product Rotofarm on April 10, 2020, and quickly surpassed his goal and raised more than $350k from almost 600 backers.
The garden occupies a 30-cm. footprint on the countertop, yet stretched, it would reach a length of almost 1.5 m. It is made from strengthened, smoked glass, stainless steel, and silicone.
Rotofarm has a rotation of approximately 360 degrees every 46 minutes. As crops rotate, they spend time upside down, eliminating the growth-restricting effects of gravitational forces. This increases the speed of plant production at Rotofarm.
The light of the field is similar to the sun, but they possess a minor bit of orange to increase the rate of photosynthesis, accelerating the development of new vegetation. To stop glare coming from the garden from the side, a rotating cover with a magnet can be placed over the magnifying glass.
