The Creality CR-Scan Lizard is a 3D scanner that is able to capture the shape of an object in three dimensions. The device consists of a cradle that holds the object to be scanned and a scanning head that moves around the object to capture its shape. The CR-Scan Lizard can scan objects up to 0.5mm. The scanner is powered by a USB cable and can be controlled by a computer or a mobile device.
Creality, Inc., famous for its popular 3D printer models such as the Ender 3, has recently announced that it has unveiled its new and improved 3D scanner: the CR-Scan Lizard.
How Does Creality CR-Scan Lizard Work?
The Creality CR-Scan Lizard scanner we bring can detect the finest detail with a precision of close to 0.05mm. Infrared light sources of invisible wavelength protect the eyes, and the light it emits is a result of high-quality manufacturing. A High-precision 3D scanner is usually expensive, but CR-Scan Lizard will support budget-friendly pricing, and they intend to make it available to all people.
You can use three different scanning modes with the CR-Scan Lizard to scan an object. It is available in turntable mode, handheld mode, or a combination of the two.
Over the last 2-3 weeks, Creality has offered a number of videos on its YouTube channel showing the functions of its three-dimensional scanner in detail. Be sure to follow the links if they seem interesting to you.

Creality created a Kickstarter campaign for their product CR-Scan Lizard on February 10, 2022, and in just a few days smashed it reaching over $2mln from almost 6,000 backers surpassing their goal of ~$13,000.
The Creality CR Studio software is found on the provided USB drive and is used to scan 3D models. The Quick Start Guide provides information on how to unzip the software and run it. With the Creality CR-Scan Lizard, you digitize large and/or small objects and send them to your computer for printing. The Creat Studio software is the software that transforms 3D images into digital datasets for the new printer via Creality Cloud directly to your 3D printer and then executes all the associated operations.
